Nina Feofanova studied cello at the Cherepovets Music College with Tatiana Gorshkova and at the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire with Yuri Kitaev. She graduated from the Postgraduate course of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire in 2004. She participated in master classes of Mark Drobinsky, Oleg Shulpyakov, Aleksey Lazko, Sergei Antonov, Boris Andrianov, Sergei Girshenko.
Nina Feofanova has been holding the position of Principal Cello at the Karelian State Philharmonic since 2005. She has performed as soloist and principal cellist with such prominent conductors as Marius Stravinsky, Saulius Sondeckis, Conrad van Alphen, Anatoly Rybalko, Aleksei Niaga, Mikhail Sinkevich. She continues to perform professionally at the Karelian State Philharmonic and as a member of chamber ensembles and string quartets alongside her substantial commitment to her students at the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire.
Nina Feofanova has been teaching at the strings department of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire since 2007. Previously she taught cello at a music school. She teaches cello, quartet, concert repertoire for strings, as well as supervises performance and pedagogic practices.
