Preparatory course

All candidates who have chosen a major delivered in Russian and have no written or spoken command of the language are advised to attend a Preparatory Course. 

The course starts in September and ends in June each year. The Preparatory Course includes tutorials in main instrument or vocal and Russian language classes.  The number of hours in a course depends on the chosen degree.

Preparatory Courses Tuition Fee for international students

Application documents   

  • Video recording of applicant's performance
  • A copy of passport (clear scan of the two-page spread is required) 
  • Completed and signed Application Form (to be provided after a video audition) 
  • Photo in JPEG, PNG  (3x4) 

Deadlines

In order to get a visa invitation on time, candidates are advised to send their application documents at least two months prior to arrival. 

Video recording requirements 

Two or three compositions of contrasting style that correspond with the entrance examinations requirements relevant to the chosen major.  While no minimum or maximum time length is required,  video uploads should be of no more than 20 minutes, and performances should best represent students abilities within that timeframe. Auditions may be performed with or without accompaniment. In the case of voice auditions, accompaniment is strongly encouraged.

The video(s) must be marked with the date(s) of recording and the name of the performer and submitted through YouTube or a similar platform. The video link(s) must be open and not encrypted or password protected. They must be available for the full admission period, until 30 August 2021.
