Alexander Lubyantsev (piano)

Piano student of Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatory (by honoured art worker of Russia and Karelia, professor Victor Portnoy) Alexander Lubyantsev is to perform at the Petrozavodsk Conservatory Concert Hall on October 3, 2013. 

The program will include Spanish Rhapsody by Franz Liszt, Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise Brilliante Op.22  by Frederic Chopin, Sonata by Alexander Lubyantsev - the program has been recently performed in Saint-Petersburg at the 21st Music Festival Stars of the White Nights.

Alexander is a laureate of piano competitions in Russia, Poland, Estonia, Australia, and the United States, he took the Third Prize at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2007 and earned the title of "an alternative prize-winner" at the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011 due to his huge success among music lovers and critics. Considered one of the biggest talents of his generation, Lubyantsev has attracted audiences widely  in Russia, as well as in Japan, Brazil, Norway, Estonia, Belarus, Finland and the Czech Republic, and has participated in the Ohrid Summer Festival  (Macedonia, 2007), the Dinard International Music Festival (France, 2008), and International Friendship Concert in Seoul (Korea, 2010).
