Cooperation with Uzbekistan

During the visit of the official delegation of the Republic of Karelia to Uzbekistan on October 24, 2024 rector of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov conservatoire Aleksei Kubyshkin and rector of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Urinbaev signed a collaboration agreement.

The agreement aims to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian relations within the Cultural cooperation programme between Russian Federation and Uzbekistan targeted for 2024 – 2026.

The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan is a leading music educational institution in the country, it was founded in 1936. It is considered the oldest higher musical educational establishment in Central Asia, where prominent figures of professional art and musical science of the region have worked.

The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan expressed great interest in developing cooperation with Karelian partners in the field of musical arts and education. The main activities agreed are academic mobility, visits and exchanges of teaching staff, scientific research, creative projects and concerts.

Developing academic, scientific and creative cooperation with musical institutions and partners from CIS-countries is one of the priorities of international strategy of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov conservatoire.
