The 3rd Kantele Marathon

On April 26, 2019 the Kantele Ensemble will host the 3rd Kantele Marathon of the Republic of Karelia aimed at sustaining interest in the national symbol.

The Kantele Marathon is a competition of professional and amateur kantele players to become the best performer in the Republic of Karelia. There is no age limit or set level of performing skills. Marathon encourages kantele players of all levels to learn from professionals, communicate and share their experience.

Kantele teachers and students of music schools and colleges, members of kantele ensembles are welcome to take part in the 3rd Kantele Marathon of the Republic of Karelia.

To participate in the competition please fill in the application form and send it to dom.kantele@yandex.ru .

Those who are interested in kantele performing are welcome to attend the concert, visit the kantele workshop and find out how the kantele instrument is created.
