On May 3, 2018, associate professor from the institute of traditional music and folk art of the University College of Southeast Norway Per Åsmund Omholt (Norway) will give a lecture about traditional Norwegian folk music at the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire (Varkaus embankment, 3, room #13).
The lecture is organized within the framework of the international project "Nordic metamorphoses: folk music of Norway and Karelia".
The project is organized by Darya Katyba and Irina Smirnova, and consists of musicians of different backgrounds and education, who have come together on the basis of Russian and Norwegian rich folk music traditions.
The project is supported by the Barents Plus Programme.
