On March 10, 2023 the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire hosted a Dutch organ player Jean-Pierre Steijvers who along with his solo program performed Widor’s Sinfonia Sacra with the conservatoire’s symphony orchestra conducted by Maestro Aleksei Kubyshkin.
Jean-Pierre Steijvers’s performance became the part of the project “Organ - Through the Centuries and Countries” that has been implemented at the conservatoire since 2019 and consists of a series of concerts by famous foreign and Russian organists who perform as soloists and with an orchestra. The leaders of the project are Professor of the Piano Solo Department of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire Alexander Utrobin and a Japanese musician Hiroko Inoue.
