The Age Categories (as of December 1, 2025):
I group – 9-12 years old
II group –  13-15 years old
III group –  16-19 years old
IV group – 20-26 years old

Award:
Winners are awarded with laureate diplomas (1, 2, 3 degrees), diplomas, valuable gifts. 

Repertoire for the competition
includes works by Frederic Chopin only 

I group – max 10 - 12 minutes
a complete performance of several works of different genre 

II group  - max 12 -15 minutes
a complete performance of several works of different genre 

III group
1st Round – max 17 minutes
a complete performance of
- one or two Preludes or Mazurkas
- one Etude op.10 (except No.6) or op.25 (except No.7)
- one Polonaise 

2nd Round
- one Nocturne
- one of the following works:
Ballade, Scherzo, Fantasia, Variations brilliants, Bolero, Rondo

IV group
1st Round  – max 17-20 minutes
a complete performance of
- two or three Mazurkas
- two Etudes op.10 (except No.6) or op.25 (except No.7)
- one of the following works: Ballade, Scherzo, Fantaisia, Polonaise, Barcarole

2nd Round
- one Nocturne
- one Sonata or two of the following works: Ballade, Scherzo, Fantasia, Polonaise, Barcarole (not performed at the 1st Round)

The application form must be sent before October 20, 2025 via email dmiter9@mail.ru  to Dmitry Ershov, the Associate Professor of the Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire, or by post to Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatoire. Each video submitted must be recorded according to the following rules:

The camera must remain at the same angle throughout the entire recording. Video recordings must be performed by the contestants. Video or audio editing is absolutely forbidden. Video file should be in Mp4 format and the file size of each video should not exceed 1GB. The contestant’s whole silhouette, hands and keyboard must be clearly visible from the right side throughout the video, the entire piano may not be necessary visible in the video. Description of a video file should contain contestant’s name, age category, round number (if applicable).

 

Together with your completed application form (a signed scan copy) and the video recordings you will also need to provide the copy of birth certificate or passport and a photo (high resolution). Registration fee of 3000 rubles for each contestant is to be paid upon arrival.
