Applicants are required to perform:
Vocal
- three arias (one by Russian composer of the 19th century, one by West European composer of the 19th century, one classic aria by Mozart, Bach or Handel)
- three romances (one by Russian composer of the 19th century, one by West European composer of the 19th century, and one folk song of any origin)
Piano
25-30 minute solo program including:
- one polyphonic work in the original
- one work of a Classical composer (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
- one large-scale composition or a part of it to applicant’s choice
Violin
- one etude
- one polyphonic work
- one large-scale composition (for example, Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61 by Beethoven; Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 by Brahms; Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 82 by Glazunov; Violin Concerto in D major, op. 35 by Tchaikovsky; 1st, or 2nd and 3rd movements from a concerto by Shostakovich)
- scales and arpeggios in all key
